The World is Breathing Again.

Sunlight and driving rain sweep the streets clean, scrubbing the air, polishing the windows with fine raindrops that bead on the skin. The streetlights are cleared of their dull dusty films; reds and oranges finely burning, blues and whites that sear the back of your eyelids. Winter coats are once again shaken out of their deep closets, looking slightly rumpled and surprised, like lost seabirds looking for other shores than these. The sky is alive with vast, rolling weatherfronts.

I like it here.

I love metamorphosis. I never thought of the sun as a cleaning agent but I suppose it is depending on what you are. The snow is all melting here. Yes, snow. I love it. You smell everything just soaking with juice and potential. The nightskies are especially good because the moon is waning but still luminous. Anyway, glad you like it there.

"Winter coats are once again shaken out of their deep closets" - AGAIN!

Oh what is wrong w you two?? You were meant to find each other and freeze in deep contented silence. GAH!

Prettily written though, there's that.

(Barrett, the sun is not only a cleaning agent, it is a sterilising one. Courtesy of Vet School. )
